Summer, as we call her, is here to stay. In 4 different homes in the first year of her life, she is meek around other goats and would rather not eat than risk getting shoved. She is an outstanding mama, and will adopt others’ babies. As a mature doe, she has very good general appearance and a very nice front end, plus incredible length of body. She has amazing body capacity as demonstrated by giving birth to 5 good-sized babies as a first freshener, without even looking pregnant! We’re pleased to see that her depth of barrel has increased with maturity. Her udder is buttery soft with nice sized teats and large orifices that make her our favorite goat to hand milk.

Rosewood enjoys the position of herd queen’s daughter and she often still eats with her mama. She has a level top line, good spring of rib and lots of width between the hocks.

“Fern”

Lil Miss B Haven GC Fern  3/17/21

Sire: Agape’s Prize Gold Centerfold (GCH Wood Bridge Farm Undeniable ++B x CH Wood Bridge farm 22K Gold)

Dam: Lil Miss B Haven Fashionista 4*M (Wood Bridge Farm Bearnecessity +*B x GCH Lil Miss B Haven Francesca 3*M)

thumbnail_IMG_7317

CA State Fair 2022 (NDGA)- 1st place dry yearling, Junior Grand Champion

This little one is quite spunky and thinks she’s hot stuff. She would rather be with people, but also pushes her way right in with the mature does. Her sire is the son of the 2021 ADGA National Grand Champion, and her maternal Great Grand-dam, CG Wood Bridge Farm Scarlet Rose, was the 2018 ADGA National Grand Champion. She is extremely correct in general appearance and has a very wide rump and escutcheon.

“Nova”

Kickapoo Creek RP Red Nova 2/17/21

Sire: Sapphire Moon Red Planet (Camanna TBR Red & Blue Paisano x GCH Poppy Patch LM Red Red Rose 1*M)

Dam: Kickapoo Creek Peggy Sue (Kickapoo Creek Tower of Power x Kickapoo Creek 8S Dorianna Rose 1*M)

thumbnail_IMG_7268

CA State Fair 2022 (NDGA- 2nd place dry yearling, Reserve Junior Grand Champion

I admire her granddam and love her pretty bezoar/swiss marked color pattern, but mostly she’s here because she wanted to come home with me. She is calm and quiet and loves to snuggle. Her first freshening udder is so snug with fabulous side attachments, and with teats that are a nice size and texture for hand milking.

“Foxy”

River Edge SM Foxtail Pine   3/7/22

Sire: Lil Miss B Haven Smokin Mirrors *B (TX Twin Creeks RM Watermark +B x SGCH Wood Bridge Farm Hocus Pocus 2*M)

Dam: Castle Rock Cross My Heart 6*M (SG Castle Rock Cleveland Sage ++*B x GCH AGS Algedi Farm S Honey Heart 5*M)

thumbnail_IMG_7301

She is going to be a large-bodied doe with a wide escutcheon and looks like she is taking after her grand-dam, Hocus. She appears to have a random mystery moonspot. I absolutely love how she is turning out. She has a very correct but not yet capacious udder as a 12 month old, and has buttery soft teats that are wider than her dam’s.

“Cherry”

Kickapoo Creek CherryZ Jubilee 2/7/22

Sire: Kickapoo Creek TB Zephyr Bay (CABrandyWinFarms M Tortuga Bay x SG AGS Double D’s Zoey)

Dam: Dill’s TS Strawberry Wine 1*M (Dill’s D Two-Step ++*B x Dill’s PL Sugar Shaker)thumbnail_IMG_7329

GCDGA Turlock 2022 (ADGA)- 2nd Intermediate Kid ring 1 & 2

CA State Fair 2022 (NDGA)- 1st Intermediate Kid

I admired her dam and I loved her paternal granddam, but never got the Zoey daughter I’d hoped for. Cherry is a lovely cross of both with pretty colors and a friendly personality. She is very soft and loves to be scratched, but stands there with “angry ears” for some reason.

“Heather”

Kickapoo Creek SOH Heather 3/8/22

Sire: Kickapoo Creek Shot of Honey (Hidden Hills Justin Time *B x Kickapoo Creek Sweetlike Honey 6*M)

Dam: SG Kickapoo Creek AW Christina 2*M (Kickapoo Creek 8S Aces Wild x SGCH 3SC Mira Jane 1*M)

thumbnail_IMG_4286

She’s so very “dairy” with correct feet and legs, angular rump and a high escuscheon. Her dam has a lovely udder, made the 2020-2021 Elite Doe List, and ranked in the top 3% for milk production as a first freshener.  I’ve also admired her paternal granddam and am so happy to have a Honey granddaughter.

“Ivy”

Mountain Pines SQ Wild Ivey 1/24/22

Sire: Agape’s Prize Sulaymaan Quinn *B (SG Old Mountain Farm Keidan Quinn +*B x SG Wood Bridge Farm LeviandDiamond 1*M)

Dam: De Novo CRK Wild Heart (Castle Rock Kentucky *B x Castle Rock Heart of Darkness)

thumbnail_IMG_4242

This pretty little girl is so feminine and long. Her sire is Elite Sire of the ADGA National Show in 2022 with many beautiful daughters in several herds. And close to my heart, her dam comes from the Algedi Honey Heart line. Algedi Honey Heart is the dam of our beloved doe, Castle Rock Cross My Heart. Ivy is so sweet and came to us knowing her name and asking for kisses.

“Liberty”

SV Farm CBG Liberty      1/2/2023

Sire: Camanna BK Nevada’s Blue Gem (Camanna BTA Blue Moon Knight x Oak Apple Sonatina VEEE90)

Dam: River Edge BI Cayenne (Sapphire Moon Blazing Inferno *B x Castle Rock Volt 3*M)

thumbnail_IMG_3088

I’m so happy to have a doe back from Cayenne. This is the grand-daughter of my special goatie, Castle Rock Volt. She was raised in the house but is smart and learned so quickly how to be polite.

“Ireland”

River Edge SM Bells of Ireland      1/15/2023

Sire: Lil Miss B Haven Smokin Mirrors *B  (TX Twin Creeks RM Watermark +B x SGCH Wood Bridge Farm Hocus Pocus 2*M)

Dam: Kickapoo Creek BTA Hannabelle 1*M  (Poppy Patch Black Tie Affair x Kickapoo Creek RK Clarabelle)

thumbnail_IMG_3081

Love this doe! I can’t wait to get her in the show ring. Her personality is so much like her mama’s and I’m really hoping her teats will be also.

“Fig”

River Edge SM Figgy Pudding 3/10/23

Sire: Lil Miss B Haven Smokin Mirrors *B  (TX Twin Creeks RM Watermark +B x SGCH Wood Bridge Farm Hocus Pocus 2*M)
Dam: Kickapoo Creek CherryZ Jubilee  (Kickapoo Creek TB Zephyr Bay x Dill’s TS Strawberry Wine 1*M)

thumbnail_IMG_2657

I was not planning on keeping another baby this year, but couldn”t resist a flashy Smoke daughter! Her dam is a yearling first freshener and that is another thing I don’t usually do, but I want to keep her for now at least, to see what’s under all that fluff!

REFERENCE DOES

“Hanna”

Kickapoo Creek BTA Hannabelle 1*M 3/12/18

Sire: Poppy Patch Black Tie Affair (Poppy Patch RC Jiminy Cricket x Poppy Patch HB Lady in Red)

Dam: Kickapoo Creek RK Clarabelle  (Lost Valley ML Remmington King x Miniprints TM Cricket)

We’re so happy to have Hanna here on lease from Kickapoo Creek Ranch. She settled right in and made her way up the ladder, right past Summer in the heirarchy. She is affectionate and asks for kisses, and I can tell she was showered with attention at a previous home. She didn’t freshen for the first time until she was 3 years old but easily earned her milk star in only a few months. She has exceptional teats and I enjoy hand milking her. So thrilled I had 3 girls to choose from before sending her back.

Contra Costa County Fair 2018 (AOP)- 2nd 4+ year olds, Reserve Champion Sr Doe

Contra Costa County Fair 2019 (AOP)- 2nd 4+year old

Acorn was our first goat, bought as a backyard milker but ended up winning her young owner several belt buckles for Best in Show. She’s a Castle Rock Cleveland Sage daughter and we are thankful to her breeder for such a lovely addition to our family. She’s the biggest, the oldest, and has moved with us, so naturally she’s the herd queen. She stands at the barn door and sorts goats, deciding who may come in out of the rain and who stays out. She was a very loud baby and there were so many times I almost sold her because she wouldn’t stop yelling and the neighbors were complaining. Thankfully now the only time we hear her is when she’s bellowing at Cedar at the feeder or when she’s in heat. As a junior she was chubby but has become a mature doe with a long neck and slim legs and tremendous body capacity. She is so long that we actually had to build another milk stand for her. She has a capacious udder and peaked at 13 cups per day so we’re pleased to have her on milk test to make it official with a milk star in volume, butterfat and protein. And we’re happy to contribute to another +B for her sire.
